The Great Plains Laborers District Council (GPLDC) is the cornerstone of labor representation for construction and maintenance workers across the vast Great Plains region. Our district council is a subsidiary of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), representing a proud brotherhood and sisterhood of skilled laborers who contribute tirelessly to serve our communities and build our nations infrastructures.

Our Members

The GPLDC represents a diverse group of laborers who are the backbone of the construction industry in our region. Our members work on a wide array of projects, including but not limited to building construction, roads and bridges, environmental remediation, demolition, and utility work. They are skilled in various crafts, from general construction labor to more specialized trades such as masonry, landscaping, pipeline work, and more.

Training and Apprenticeship

We take immense pride in our state-of-the-art training facilities, which offer apprenticeship and ongoing education programs. These programs are meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of the construction industry, ensuring our laborers have the most up-to-date skills and certifications to thrive on the job.
